the bid in US coal stocks is based on view republicans will clear the way for natural gas exports - lowering the domestic competition coal faces

BUT - that means low cost gas hits asia - which suppresses Asian coal price (and so our coal company earnings)

You DONT buy Aussie coals stocks for that - you buy it because China/asia is moving past a structural economic low and should lift somewhat from here
