There would be 2 reasons I see possible for not updating
shareholders as promised ( apart from other possibilities which are outright nonsense, for example OBJ tries to lead us astray etc, play games )

First one I find unlikely, that there is nothing material to update or inform shareholders ( unless they are forced by ASX queries to state something they dont intend to).

Secondly, I naturally see more likely, that OBJ has
intensified negotiations with one or more partners to a degree that an update within the extension period in itself would already anticipate or give away the "deal" announcement later on.
Therefore OBJ would delay updates as deal announcement could be close.
