yes, that can be said
for me - the biggest thing that the Liberals miss is
vision
what Australia needed was it's major parties to both have vision
if that had happened - they would have had a chance at taking the essentials for preparation of the nation for a future -------- out of politics
but, one didn't and doesn't have vision at all ------------- so, we have only an adversarial system of party politics - with things like races to the bottom, policy reversals and the like
I'm sorry, but, one cannot run a nation like that in an era like this and survive
and, that's where we are right now - a nation which is extraordinarily vulnerable - and so far back in the race and carrying now so much weight - that IMO - it cannot catch up - not possible
