Just to clarify the point he has raised about that Fuji Reram product.
Firstly, you have to know that this Fuji Reram is not a full 'system on a chip' (SoC) with an embedded reram.
This is a EPPROM, is more of the stand alone Reram without a selector that Coby mentioned.
In the early days, Reram did not make much of a splash in the water because people found issues with the endurance, temperature resistence and issues with manufacturing etc.
The point is that if a product is not able to become popular one, there has to be some roadblock on the way, like the endurance or cost to make it those things.
So now , it happened to be TSMC firstly take one or two of the roadblocks, and then WBT makes a big advancement on multiangle.
And just to point out that for embedding Reram into a SoC, even the design is a complicated task, not to mention you have to make all other components (logic gates, bridges, RAM etc,.) on the same design layout and actually manufacture it and have everything work correctly with the Reram array.
That is why doing embedded Reram incorperation is so hard (in other words, the customer does need aiding from WBT). Just to be clear, the most advanced embedded Reram commercially available by far is the 40nm chip from TSMC. Even in the biggest/best fab in this planet, they are still doing quanlification on 22nm chips. And WBT is on that one too. Again, the 400bil company and the 1.3bil company are in the same race!

Back to the EPPROM type of thing, this type of Reram is used as a ROM (Read-only memory), a memory chip that is used to store some sort of coding, not very frequently write into the memory, as you can tell from the name.
Reram type of ROM was available since 2010s or even earlier. I do not know the real reason behind why this is not going very popular. Though, look into the potential issue of early day's Reram, the endurance, temperature resistance, cost, etc.
If the read-only type of application does not need a very high level of endurance, then it comes down to the cost and temperature resistance?
So why now, some customers ask Coby so eagarly on this ROM type of Reram? I might speculate this with the car industry.
They need high temerature resistance and if Weebit can even make it cheaper than flash (which sure can)?

Now we can see how good a position WBT is at currently.
