    "Until the offer is off the table the share price will drift in limbo not too far from the offer price. Nobody wants to pay $1.50 per share and then suddenly find the offer is to go ahead at $1.38."

    If the share price was $1.50, how could any corporate transaction possibly occur at $1.38?
