One area Professor Abeyratne has been researching as recently as 2016 is Bowel Motility sounds.
A way of dagnosing irritable bowel syndrome and other “tummy problems”.
Seems at the moment the stethoscope is being used to listen to the sounds....possibly better to just put the smart phone to another use.
