Last year's profit was $107.2 mill. and this compared with my forecast of $108 mill- See previous posts.
The good news is that the new gaming facilities of an extra 223 machines + gaming tables + bar and other facilities have been completed and declared open. This addition will come in handy when the new Convention Centre across the road but connected with a bridge, is completed.
That centre is supposed to be opened in April while the 5 star hotel could be ready a year later.
Meanwhile, extensions to the Adelaide Casino-See previous posts- will be started with; so SKC will be quite busy over the next 2 years.
New promulgated laws ensure that the monopoly status of SKC is maintained. No additional casinos allowed.
The number of SKC's machines will be held at the current level.
As to the smoking legislation, this has been passed but I need to get the details.
What about guided profit forecasts? I would rather wait till we get some indication of bookings for the new Conference Centre. These have started to come in but may need to be firmed up.
