German government should be ashamed of itself, they want to build a LNG port in 2 years, stating it needs to be built at 'Tesla Speed'...goodluck.
I think the reality of the matter is the lack the political will to go back on a 20 year old policy, and their greens party which was established as a foundation to be anti-nuclear holds to much sway (russian gas money has be funding these green groups across europe)
The excuse of any safety concern if ill founded, as sources have stated they havent started acid bleaching the facility yet for the decommissioning.
The real struggle would be to secure enriched fuel for the reactors, as i doubt the russians would supply it to them.
