You have to admit those results weren't too flash at all? Why would anyone buy the project? dunno
The selling is easily explained IMO. A lot of money is being spent on drilling something that looks unlikely to come up with anything spectacular. There is always a chance though...
I'd be surprised if they manage to get a CR away above 7c in this climate.
