btw they will probably book HIT and AEP at NTA in the accounts rather than share price (assuming that the NTA is higher) as they'll argue that it's a long term investment which they don't intend to cash in any time soon.
If they do this the losses booked will be smaller (but then I supposed the BS might be considered as not entirely accurate if you'd prefer to see the actual SP reflected instead - you might say the BS was a different type of BS altogether...)
