it doesn't necessary work out that way.
combination of interest and below book value sell will eat into the asset very quickly.
bank cash rate pay 7.5% for short term deposit. AFGHA notes pay 10.25% if they do pay at all.. however, there is much much higher chance of loosing it all.
iam approaching this stock very carefully. currently less than 5% of my holding is with AFG.
