Im no expert by any stretch so if my answer is wrong I do appoligise and emplore someone to correct me.

My limited understanding comes from my sister being quite unwell.. She is on a bunch of different medicines. Each compliment one another, when used together have a synergistic affect and increase the quality of life and also acheive a better outcome.

This is a copy and paste from when I was researching. "Two or more drugs that individually produce overtly similar effects will sometimes display greatly enhanced effects when given in combination. When the combined effect is greater than that predicted by their individual potencies, the combination is said to be synergistic."

There is a potential here that the combination of drugs will create a synergistic affect. If that's the case and proffit aren't at the fore front of everything they are doing then the option is certainly worth exploring...if they beleive there is a chance the combination can be more affective then I'm sure it's an avenue they would want to explore. Serepta need that life raft to stay in the dmd gene therapy space if I'm not mistaken.
