In the case of Brazil however the note indicates that 'KAR are contractually bound to drill 3 wells by March 2013'
Bearing in mind how furtive this area is and all the super majors wanting action in here i doubt KAR can take the risk of seeking an extension in this environment.
The govt are major owners of PBL doubt they would be so lenient to KAR and say your good guys from AUS we will give you another year!
Even more interesting in the note was that KAR were confident of recouping their expenses to date as part of any farmin deal...so we can put another 60+ million into the bank when farmin is finalised
