PromarkerD...a highly sensitive test for ckd...can pick up changes in
medication from one test to the next..... in this case were
talking about... SGLT2 inhibitors...J&J has Canagliflozin ...however
there are two others ...
Currently there are three SGLT2 selective inhibitors approved
by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for mono, dual,
and triple therapy:canagliflozin (Invokana®),dapagliflozin(Farxiga®) andempagliflozin(Jardiance®) (5, 11, 12).I can see no reason why PkD would not be applicable for the other
SGLT2 inhibitors...Surely the BOD's of the other two Companies or
owners of the other two SGLT2 inhibitors would be feeling slightly
uncomfortable considering the likely advantage to J&J by using PKD....
and ...imo...could enter the fray...
J&J are targeting to pick up a new group of patients early in their diagnosis
previously not identified and therefore has first mover advantage to prescribe
their drug...the advantage to J&J would accelerate over time....
My musings only ...but what would J&J be thinking here....what's in
the collaboration agreement with PIQ and does it have a clause in case PkD
is a success.....are we tied to J&J ....Surely some arrangements have
been made so that they don't find themselves on the outer.....
I know we are all basically in the dark in regards to these questions....
just interested in J&J strategy here....
