Has there been any mention along the way of a combination of ipps and nsaids? pps in the long term reducing the patient's baseline pain then daily nsaid to take that extra edge off to give perhaps a 60+% pain reduction.
I'm guessing people are using at least over the counter pain relief once the pps starts wearing off anyway.
I have no medical expertise so sorry if that is ignorant nonsense!
