For what it's worthWRpar20, we bought some of the topical ointment online and then, to give it a boost, we ground up some Elmiron and added it to the mix before rubbing it directly in to the affected area.
It was all absorbed into the skin pretty quickly, but what happened to it after that I can't say.
I'm not advising anyone else to do this, but we certainly got some relief.
