    Some good discussion here so far...yes it makes sense that the placebo effect can also go the other way, ie in a double blinded trial you may think you aren't getting the real drug and this would possibly balance out to some effect.

    Here were some other interesting points I came across regarding Placebo:

    That second bullet point was interesting, placebo effect can work in some cases even if the patient is sceptical.


    Agree with you that we may possibly need to make a distinction between pill format and subQ, specially at a Doc (and Medical association level).
    IC still affects a few million patients which is a fairly high number.

    Our eventual data and the great results (my views) from P3 will do a lot of the talking too.
