some people seem to place outsized orders a few price levels...

some people seem to place outsized orders a few price levels away from the actual bid/ask of a stock in the depth queue. this might cause some who look at the total buy orders vs total sell orders to form a possibly mistaken impression that there are more buyers or sellers than there really are. in this instance it seemed that a 1.4m sell order was placed a few steps away from the price and then when the price moved in its direction the owner of that order moved it so that it stayed the same distance away from the current trade price. at least thats my impression could be totally wrong !
