yes, it will be very interesting to see whether this changes, now it is in the MSCI small caps. ie larger associated volumes than MSCI micro caps.
Remembering the index trackers largely don't care what the index does, get paid fees for tracking the index, happy to lend out their shares to earn an additional return to guarantee outperformance of the index!
Not to mention the trackers of the asx 300 and asx 200 should it be included in those. Question will there be "players" willing to short given "potential news and take-over", they will be able to access "easily" if they want ?? ....I suspect there may be some willing to roll the dice, given current capital value
