I agree. These are great comments @imspartacus. Unfortunately Nick hasn't done himself or the company any favours by retaining such a grossly-inflated salary, which is not in line with the company's current position. It's been one of my biggest criticisms to date. And it's not a good look. But you're right; the amount he stands to gain if all goes well will make the proceeds of his salary look like chump change. I know I'd make the necessary financial sacrifices to ensure my company was in good standing, particularly if it helped set my company up and amounted to a personal holding worth in excess of $30 million. It amazes me how some publicly-listed companies are run. You would never survive in the private sector if you continued to operate a business like this.
