You can do a lot of research on the company independently of company reports and announcements. I always look into directors and how they have performed in other companies they have been associated with if any. Also neighbouring areas for other decent grades and to confirm independent expert reports. Company announcements are fine especially reading drill grades and sizes etc, so just do a lot of research and if the company fits your investment expectations and DD then make your decision.
