These articles are not read by the man in the street who will then decide whether to take a TV2U subscription or not. The main readers of these articles are insiders, the people in Brazil involved in the industry, operators, providers, media companies etc. Potentially, Brazilian investors! They, better than anyone else, know what TV2U is all about and what this ABOTT initiative really represents. If they think it's a joke or insignificant, or if TV2U is forced to deny it because Claudio is no longer there, I wouldn't bet on any credibility coming out of it. It may even hinder rather than facilitate.
I accept
@SuperTrumpy 's confirmation that Claudio is gone. He has access to TV2U's management that I don't. Where does that leave TV2U now that this has been reported and exported beyond Brazil? Deny through the media? Say nothing/Ignore it? Issue a formal statement/announcement? and with what consequences? I honestly do not believe it will affect the share price, either way. But the most valuable asset of a company is its reputation.
As an aside, going along with your statement, assuming Claudio was still representing TV2U in some sort of capacity, and they believe this is a big deal, don't you think a formal announcement by TV2U would have been appropriate? Moot point now
