The biggest issue you have in a 3rd world country with live video feeds is the internet bandwidth issue that lies outside the capability of operator broadcasters to control or change right through to the end users phone.  If you look at Telstra it has recently binned its %500 million investment in OOYALA

Check the news link at www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-02/telstra-writes-off-ooyala-investment.../9387794

This Telstra lesson is important for OTT industry as its players try to commercialise ad revenue models but also to ensure the streaming  is of the right quality of user experience. OOYALA degraded as it took on more concurrent users.  Ooyala had a reputation to choke under volume of concurrent users.

OTT players tend to want their Head-End and playout hardware close to the audience in 3rd world domains only because internet connectivity in 3rd world markets can be an issue when under load.  This is one reason operators like ASTRO and HOOQ are selective in what real time streaming they deploy as it can damage their brand if and when it congests and degrades.

The problem is that the ISP links are not under operator control. It will be a good test to see if FIFA  World Cup broadcasting occurs on the TV2U platform how the user experience goes under load.  Apparently this is why Proof of Concepts occur in these markets as its a known problem to achieve consistent streaming outcomes using the normal configuration of  current OTT technologies.

I know this issue well as I am trying to evaluate how to  get live social games and Daily Fantasy Sports games into these markets without getting bitten by this potential issue.

    All IMO and DYOR.
