The positive reviews are being written in Portuguese, so from customers in Brasil. The likes on Facebook from Australians are from investors who want to see any page updates as they occur. Makes sense to me, exactly like following the guys in Linkedin.
The comments I speak of are on the Brazilian Playstore - where the app is downloaded by users in BraZil. You would need a VPN on your phone also if you wanted to download the app from there in Australia.
