Not sure if anyone is aware here, between Wed 16 MAY to Thu 14 JUNE 2018 is the Muslim Ramadan 2018 fasting periods in Indonesia, and since just over 87% of the Indonesian population are declared Muslims, it may explain some delays and slowness in getting the contract and service on their way ...
From my Indonesian relations, they have mentioned before businesses are often slowed down during this period. It has also been quoted in BBC.com in an article that said "The productivity of workers declines in the holy month by 35-50% as a result of shorter working hours and the change in behaviour during this month,"
The last TV2 business update was given on 9th May, prior to this period, so management may or may not have correctly factored in the possible time delays for this contract to be signed.
Indosat Ooredoo's 2014 annoucement RE World Cup 2014 occurred on 18 June (approx 6 days after the start of the World Cup 2014). AND that period was also before the Ramadan 2014 period started (28/6-28/7)... but this year, this period coincides with the World Cup start, so lets just hope this delay is partly because of the above reasoning.
Is it too much of a pun to say Have Some Faith at this time?
