They are working on commercial uptake outside of the VA too. The tech had only secured US Medicare reimbursement for XV LVAS 6 months ago and for CT LVAS (the new focus with USD650.50) just two weeks ago (after FDA approval 6 months ago). Reimbursement was a major barrier and hard to secure, and now this is lifted ahead of schedule and amount, with private insurer reimbursement on the cards too. I'm sure the team is working hard behind the scenes on the multiple opportunities in the pipeline, after recent developments, they wouldn't be naive enough to be just devoting their time to the VA opportunity.
