First and foremost, it's crucial to approach investing with a clear, rational mindset rather than an emotional one. This applies to everyone who liked your post and thought it was a great analysis.

Your statement, "In fact, it is possible the company would not exist or be listed if Andreas hadn't completely leveraged his home and savings to get it up and running," reflects how an emotional investor might think. But did anyone ask Andreas to leverage his home and savings? If not, who ultimately benefited from that decision? Why didn’t he continue as a private limited company and make a success out of everything he brought to market?

When you borrow funds from the market, you’re not doing anyone a favor for what you did in the past because from that point on, you’re paid by those who invested in the company. So, save the emotional narrative for yourself.

Secondly, regarding founder-led companies: Warren Buffett has famously said that he prefers to invest in companies led by their founders. However, what he means is that he invests in such companies because he has the voting power to ensure those founders perform. It’s worth noting that you can’t compare yourself to Warren Buffett with just $1,000,000 in your account!

If you take the time to research, you’ll find that many founder-led companies have been delisted or gone into administration due to the ego and arrogance of founders who believed they were indispensable. The moment both the founder and the investors start believing in this arrogance and ignorance, the downfall of the company begins. Running a single successful store in Melbourne is one thing, but expanding nationwide is an entirely different challenge. This is why most small business owners remain limited to one or two locations. If you want to scale beyond that, you must first recognize your limitations and then bring in and empower more capable minds to grow the company.

So next time, present something more substantial for investors unless your comments are intended only for the emotionally driven.
