Re: your point - 'why others wouldn’t do similar AI algorithms as there are others publishing in this space.' 4DX hold the patents on all areas of x-ray velocimetry (xv technology) so it's not just an algorithm, per se.
It would be impossible for others to copy them without being sued for patent violation. That said, an algorithm does make up part of the x-ray velocimetry process. I have written quite a bit on the subject on the CYC thread if you want to read it there.
