If lead use were to decrease in some battery applications (which I do not believe will impact lead demand materially) silver is there to take its place as in just one example above. More and more industrial applications for silver seem to be appearing and the conductivity level of silver means its existing uses seem irreplaceable. The next closest being copper.
Lead funds the mining - solid base. Solid long term lead price at which Sorby Hills is outstandingly economic...... and silver mined FOR FREE. It is a true silver lining.
SILVER is a commodity and a currency so upside is not just in industrial use but in INVESTMENT and for CURRENCY. After all it is real money.
In commodity cycle currency changes work generally in an inverse way to commodities so there is a perfect hedge there, but if a super-cycle develops commodity price rises may exceed currency depreciation. Limited down side. Big Upside.
