Flow on effect from US interest rates briefly peaking near 18% in the early 1980s.
We are obviously bottoming out but are extending the bottoming interest rate process, and at great risk.
There is no way to predict how these extended low interest rates will affect asset classes.
Interest rate cycles from peak to trough are very long. Once rates enter a rising cycle again, the trend will be up for between 25 and 40 years if history is anything to go by.
