    Property is overvalued but your proposition is a little extreme. Property is like any other asset class. You derive income from
    The Inv and this income and the likely growth of this income dictates capital value. Also it's not the rich only who by property, often it's the lower or middle class that buy hoping to make money which they never will be able to through their salaries. For me property in Australia is an asset class which due to leverage has been driven up well beyond it's fair value. As it's an asset class the requires a big outlay the overvaluation of 25-30 percent although as a nominal number doesn't seem large the extent of exposure, 500k 700k 1 million etc means people potentially have much to lose , figures which may represent multiples of net disposable
