Like Taipan, I have been seeing the great "white knight" riding on the back of a Seven horse for a while - and equally dubious as to the value that shareholders will actually see.

Of course today's announcement raises the interesting question of who will take up the charimanship role.

You may think its irrelevant but here are some thoughts :

SDB - obvious and easy, but unlikely to be really drvien to do anything - more of the same, probably no :"Deal" become real, and NXS trickles into nothing or receivership

LDM - becoming CEO and executive chairman, surely not ?? - what a conflict and what a disaster !!

Hartwell - would be an absolute joke and nothing but a
seat warmer, even worse than SDB

ACG - joins the Board and comes on as Chariman to "protect his 6.75% interest" -if that's the case then you can be almost certain that a Deal with SGH is already done and is just going to be about executing the "independent process" in a staged & public fashion

...just my thoughts though
