Queensland Mining Corporation Limited (ASX:QMN) announces the resignation of Mr Howard Renshaw as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. As previously announced in October 2012, Mr Renshaw stood down from the position of Managing Director at that date to allow persons with different skill sets to manage the development phase of the Company’s project, particularly the White Range Project.

The Company acknowledges the extreme effort and hard work of Mr Renshaw in founding the group and establishing the very promising asset base inherent in the mining leases and other tenements.

Mr Renshaw will continue his association with the Company as a significant investor which was recently extended by his underwriting of portion of the recent Rights Issue.

The Company also welcomes Dr Lakshman Jayaweera to the Board as a Non-Executive Director following his appointment at the EGM held on 21st January 2013. Dr Lakshman is a chemical engineer with over 35 years experience in mineral processing, metal recycling, waste management and chemical processing and was the former Managing Director and Chairman of ASX Listed HydroMet Corporation Limited until its takeover in 2012.
