Bingo, close at 31.16 so still no breakout on the Aussie unit.
Seems the share price of the domestic unit is controlled more by bears than by bulls.
Case in point. Domestic unit tanked 2%+ plus when the shale and nickel write down was announced. BLT and ADR closed up 2% on the news.
Seems that the local unit needs to be pulled up begrudgingly by the overseas units.
Rio unlike BHP got gapped up in the auction.
