Thanks for your wife’s observations @BCHD. I was just showing my images to my physio, who works closely with my sports medicine specialist. He said that based on my response, really the first spinal case they’ve had a good look at, that they were very interested in using pentosan for cervical arthritis.

My physio sees lots of people with whiplash injury, and says they inevitably develop arthritis down the track. That would be a lot of people. Then consider that most joint injuries, even if fixed, start a degenerative process that results in arthritis. I tore my UCL (elbow ligament) and my doctor told me I’ll definitely get arthritis there, so I’m glad I’m on pentosan now before it develops, and maybe that will prevent or forestall that inevitability.

Imagine the use of pentosan as a preventative treatment after whiplash, sprains, tears, ruptures etc. It would add a lot to market size beyond just knees, or just OA.
