It is because the research is done on a subscription basis. If the company elects to stop paying the fee they stop their coverage.
Haivng said that, John Wilson and his team are quite good and what they produce is "independent" of the company.
There is some free stuff on the RCR website but they have a lot in their Comprehensive Report that is not generally available to the public - including background research on the nuclear industry that is quite good.
