I agree. I’ve never understood the obsession with the number of shares on issue. Its such a common comment, across many spec stocks. And it baffles me.

I guess some people don’t purchase on the basis of estimated NPV to fully diluted market capitalization, capex to opex, capex to NPV, etc. Instead they focus on SOI. Weird. Its like punting on a horse based on its name.

But look at how much some stocks have shot up after splits. So irrational IHMO. But I guess that’s how we make money. Keep a cool head, focus on the things that matter, and look to the long term horizon.

On that note, I’m not worried about how the market will react to tomorrow’s announcement. There is a chance the SP will drop. If it does, and you believe in this company, then that’s another buying opportunity. After all, there is still much to drill.
