Better to overdeliver on small promises than under-deliver on big ones. Such is human psychology. Its like how if you build something half-assed, it breaks occasionally and you make a big song a dance about fixing it you're a hero, if you build a robust system and keep it humming nobody notices yet you've actually done a better job.
