yes I think you will be incorrect on this. Australia cannot charge a rent tax on resources it does not have sovereign ownership of. PNA should be exempt from this tax.
A further q though is whether we will be able to get the exploration tax concessions...this is a different issue, and I haven't yet heard how it will apply, ie whether an offshore location matters or not, as long as you are domiciled in Australia?
