The announcement has no impact whatsoever on the current impasse. It is already known that the project it is a multi billion dollar one.
Besides that Intrepid has already issued quite a number of shares for the people with influence in Indonesia to grab at practically no cost to them. With additional resources announced that may make it a bit more attractive to them.
Most importantly, in the event of Intrepid ending up by being kicked out compensation for the money spent with accrued interest would be in the cards, even through the Indonesian courts imo. And let's not forget that the entity at fault must be seen to be only IAU's partner who to this date, if I am not mistaken, has not served any notice about terminating the contract.
