We are probably looking at a LOM upgrade in the June quarter. The encouraging thing about the recent results announced on 18th December 2020 with the headline "Drilling Extends Lost Dog Gold System" is that the system has been identified as continuing for at least 700m. The current resource is around 1.2km with an expected yield of 125,000 recoverable oz in the PFS. The latest drills extending the Lost Dog appear to contain comparable grades. So some very rough calculations taking on an assumption that characteristics are relatively consistent would suggest:
Current Resource at Lost Dog: 1200 meters at 1.7g/t = 125,000 oz recoverable
Recent Extension at Lost Dog: 700 meters at 1.7g/t = 72,916 oz recoverable
Even a large margin of error on this rough calculation suggests a LOM between 2 and 4 years.
Important question that remains unanswered is how long is this ore body? I suspect there are several more years to be found in it yet.
There are plenty who hang around here that either don't get it, or they do and just have nefarious intentions. Regardless, results will speak for themselves in time, $40m+ EBITDA per annum cannot go unnoticed forever.
