Geos / Mining Engineers
The reporting of Resources and reserves in a public report is the responsibility of the Board and must be prepared by a "competent person" there is no distinction between geologists opining on resources and mining engineers opining on reserves just that the person be a competent person as defined in JORC code.
What is a competent person?
"A competent person is Member or Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy or of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists or of a Recognised Overseas Professional Organisation."
"A competent person must have a minimum of five years experience which is relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which that person is undertaking."
