Parmenio, suggest you read "Unlimited Wealth" by Paul Zane Pilzer. If we do not use the Iron Ore now, in 50 years it may just be old technology, replaced by some kind of ceramic compound, or unknown alloy, and be relatively worthless.

Politicians are really only interested in getting into power. The Labor traditional support base is:_
1) Unions (compulsory Unionism)
2) The Unemployed (Payroll Tax)
3) Immigration (Open the doors!)
4) The Poor (Mining Tax?)

Of course their other agenda is to abolish State Governments and centralize power in Canberra. (Mining Tax, Health reform etc.) Here in W.A. I think we are more interested in abolishing Canberra.........
