    Imo , the day the Treaty of Versailles was signed was the day the first seed was sown for the next War in
    Europe. ANY Treaty signed under protest/duress (i.e Germany) will ALWAYS end badly, as did that one.
    Covenant of Nations? I believe the U.S Senate never ratified the treaty and The U.S Government never took any
    responsibility for the provisions contained within. Shredded Germany of prime productive lands and sewed the next crop of dissent. And then the ever gutless French took to occupying the Ruhr in 1922. And the rest is history.

    Perhaps August 15 (VP Day) would be a better day to commemorate?
    Then we could ALL contemplate what this joint would be like if the Nips had got their evil way!!!
