Yes ... it is very hard to grab market share from the incumbents ... that was similarly stated to me personally by Julian Chick however long ago during a boardroom briefing in Sydney (Bell Potter). With regards to the hole-in-the-heart babies, some of the deficiencies were fixed. (cut to size /thickness/ adequate service history/production costs/membrane yield)
BUT
... imagine that the oppositions' professional & presentable tech rep makes a sales pitch to the very skilled and also professional surgeon
THEN ...afterwards in comes the Admedus professional and presentable tech rep ( not a clown dressed as spiderman ... 3 years ago) and our presentation includes superior technical characteristics and NO REPEAT OPERATION AT AGE 7 ...
If the surgeon is nervous, then "out of left field" the "Wayne Paterson save-the-children project" is explained which is "buy two get one for free" ... for the poor kids who really need financial help... after 12 months who will the surgeon be consistently buying from?
OK .. too simplistic ... but surely we have the inside running???
