The route to complete confidentiality is provided by Renesas. Announce once and never announce again as all the funds get washed through Renesas.
There is also the conditional or incomplete agreement route that carries conditions precedent that need to be fulfilled.
Lets see a condition like we will buy your IP if we are able to obtain a 90% chip yield on our first 100 million chips produced and successfully implemented in our product. This would allow the delay of an announcement until the product was actually being shipped.
Always more ways than one to skin the cat.
