Hi Love, I'm not sure i understand you question, as i see it they had 2 choices.
1) Drill into the natural fractures. 2) Drill to avoid the natural fractures.
All available information supported that drilling into the fractures would increase gas permiability / recovery.
I kind of understand what your asking but I think your assuming they knew in advance that either the water was there or that it may be an issue. If they had know the water was going to be an issue, all available information still said best gas recovery rates would be obtained by targeting the natural fractures.
In short - I don't think water was seen as an issue early enough in the planning to consider it whilst planning the drill to optimise gas recovery.
Having this discussion now really highlights how valuable Warro 3 has been in planning future drills.
