Bob Roget has been at this for a long time.... Old stock-exchange hands will breathe a sigh of nostalgia at Roget's name.
Roget's public company career opened in a blaze of publicity in 1986 after launching Armtech Ltd, which was going to make revolutionary new rifles using caseless ammunition. If Pierpont's memory serves aright, Armtech's image was somewhat dented by a 60 Minutes program in which the rifle failed to fire.
Roget sued 60 Minutes for defamation, but the case was dropped and Armtech became dust and rubble. Today Roget occupies himself by discovering and promoting companies that are float prospects.
One of his discoveries was a chap called John Cross who was developing technology that was stuffed into the float of Biometrics.....
