I totally agree with your post.

I n a time where there is fear in the market and the cost of debt is rising, the board would be crazy to be attempting to buy MFS's asstes let alone others. Surely they must be very comfortable with their gearing levels and trying to pick up a bargain.

To reconfirm profit and the dividend must also mean they have the funds to pay it.

Milken posted an article by Mike West which basically said they needed to buy MFS to enable them to raise capital in a "discreet way" for want of a better term.

You tten also have Alan Kohler recommending the stock as a buy.

Everyone seems to be an expert but I guess time will tell.
