i) MAYBE get a reply from someone down the totem pole, ii) they always apologise for taking forever to reply (but there's heaps of em on the depts payroll) - try that next time you get a bill from the ATO - "sorry I was not able to pay my tax 3yrs ago, but you see, sending me a bill is the easy bit, actually coming up with dollars to pay it, that's indeed considerably harder...." let me know how you go?!?!?! iii) the reply they give you, simply reflects the fact they do not understand the subject matter - yet they're in the job - how and why, we'd all love to know????
What the Vic Govt has done for example, is much like banning all powered flight, because of the noise of jet planes, but some bloke arrives to take up his little propeller job and gets told he too can't fly because of the blanket ban! Plane yes, but jet no, but don't confuse us (the powers-that-be) with details...
